News Story: Student Affairs Division Calls for Hall Governor Application

The Students Affairs Division, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, under the office of the Vice Chancellor, has announced the opening of applications for the position of hall governors for various hostels in the University halls of residence. 

This development was made known in a letter dated 30th October 2023 and signed by Dr. Tukur M. Mukhtar, the Deputy Dean Student Affairs Division for the main campus while the information was obtained by Vanguard Press was shared across media outlets.

Part of the letter reads, "This is to inform all Students wishing to apply for Hall Governorship positions in the University Halls of Residence (Main Campus) that applications are due from October 30, 2023 to November 7, 2023".

According to the letter, the application is open to students in their third year and above.

Interested candidates are instructed to submit their application letters to the Secretary (Dean's Office) on or before 7th November 2023, the letter shown. 

The Dean of Student Affairs, the Chief Security Officer, Hall Administration, Porters, and Matrons are all copied by the circular.

Inside UDUS: NUASA-UDUS Sets To Hold Congress Meeting

  Sewedo Khadijat reports In a bid to ensure and improve the harmonious relationship among various levels, the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter is set to hold congress meetings across all levels of Accounting Students. This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press is contained in a flier, released by the President of the Association,  Akintomiwa Isaac, and shared to many social media accounts. According to the flier, debate, quiz, talk show, miming competition poem recitation and cultural display are the events to be featured on that day.
