UDUS Student Tax Club Stages First Physical Meeting, Inter-departmental Debate

In its avowed commitment to proliferate embedded skills, the Student Tax Club of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, is set to organize the first physical meeting and inter-departmental debate scheduled to be held on the 06th of October, 2023 at MS 2 Lecture hall by 4 pm.

This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press Board was contained in a flyer, released to the public by the Club, and shared across various media outlets.

Student Tax Club is 𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 or 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝  𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 & 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟  𝐭𝐚𝐱𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.  

The flyer reads in part: "The Student Tax Club in UDUS, presents its' first physical meeting of Members and Inter-departmental Debate between Accounting, Economics and Law Department titled "Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms' The Implication For National High Inflation Economy".

Speaking on the objectives of the Inter-departmental debate, Mr. Adekunle, Director of Programs, Student Tax Club, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Chapter, said it'll help foster their knowledge on rudiments of taxation.

"The competition for tax club members is the first of it's kind we're having and we'll be glad to have students from other departments in attendance," he added.

Abdullahi Nasiru, the Club's Administration Director said the aim of the event is for developing the tax profession and enlighten the society and individuals about taxations.

Born in Sokoto and hailing from Abuja, Habiba gets disturbed by anything unhygienic. In her act of service to humanity, she addressed an issue of the unhygienic situation at the old PG female hostel.   Sewedo Khadijat reports In a bid to ensure and improve the harmonious relationship among various levels, the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter is set to hold congress meetings across all levels of Accounting Students. This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press is contained in a flier, released by the President of the Association,  Akintomiwa Isaac, and shared to many social media accounts. According to the flier, debate, quiz, talk show, miming competition poem recitation and cultural display are the events to be featured on that day.
