UDUS Management Considers Students Over Registration, Sends Strong Warnings
Yunus Hassan and Wonderful Adegoke report,
The Management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto under the leadership of Prof. Lawal Sulaiman Bilbis has given a last chance to students who are unable to complete their registration before the closure of the school portal. This is following an appeal from all quarters to the management to consider the affected students.
This information is contained in a circular with Ref number UDUS/R/ACA/017 that was obtained by Vanguard Press Board UDUS, released from the office of the registrar, the Academic Division on 26th June 2023 and signed by S.O Abuh on behalf of the Director of University Examination and Registration. The title of the circular reads "Notice to all students on 2022/2023 session registration exercise".
According to the memo, all students affected by late registration are directed to go to the Management Information System division to complete their registration.
"However, the following categories of students that are yet to complete their registration have one last chance to do so within a very limited time.
"Those that have not generated their invoices for registration and have their money ready, those that have generated their invoices for payment but are yet to make payment, and those that have paid their registration fee but are yet to do their course registration should all go to Management Information System(MIS) to complete their registration manually," the circular says.
Management Adopts Manual Process
However, contrary to the normal procedure for registration, management devise a manual means of registration for students unable to complete their registration before the closure of the school portal.
While the memo noted that examinations for the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic session will commence on Monday 24th July 2023, it sent a strong warning to them that students who fail to take advantage of this opportunity would have to defer academic season.
"The students who do not take advantage of this opportunity would have to defer the season."
Furthermore, the circular encouraged students who are yet to complete their registrations to employ the opportunity to do the necessary things.
"Please treat as urgent as limited time is allowed."
