The Drug Free Club at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (DFC-UDUS), committed to fostering a drug-free campus, has achieved international recognition by earning a coveted spot on SchoolAndCollegeListings, a premier online educational directory worldwide.
This milestone was revealed in an email sent to the former club president, Attahiru Abubakar Zubair, who shared the news with the DRUG-FREE CLUB UDUS" WhatsApp group on September 2, 2023.
Part of the email stated "Dear Drug Free Club UDUS, We are thrilled to inform you that your esteemed university (club) has been successfully added to SchoolAndCollegeListings, a leading online directory for schools, colleges, educational professionals, and other institutions in the education sector. Congratulations on joining our esteemed community!"

Attahiru Abubakar Zubair, the former DFC president, expresses his excitement, describing this recognition as an exceptional opportunity for the club to extend its influence beyond national borders. He encourages new students to join the club.
"This is an incredible chance to showcase the incredible stories and achievements within our college. We are so grateful to have this opportunity to widen our audience and share what is amazing in the club. I would also recommend new students of the university join the Drug Free Club UDUS towards the fight against a drug-free campus, get enlightened, and take precautions," he stated.
Comr. Aliyu Yushau Asgar, the current DFC President, in an interview with Vanguard Press, expressed his gratitude for the club's remarkable achievement, emphasizing its growing international recognition. He also urged current and prospective members to actively contribute to the club's growth.
