Column with Legal Queen: Reject Filters, Embrace Your True Beauty

Once upon a time, people were the epitome of ruggedness, sporting their unshaven faces like badges of honor. But then, Snapchat filters swooped in and whisked away their beards. In their place, the filter bestowed upon them the gift of dainty flower tiaras and luscious pink lipstick. We now have an army of manly men transformed into glamorous princesses. Move aside Cinderella, the prince charming is stealing the spotlight!

Now, let's not forget about the fabulous ladies. From the moment they stepped into the Snapchat universe, they were ready to capture hearts with their beauty. But alas, the filters had other plans! Suddenly, their eyebrows morphed into mischievous caterpillars, and their eyes turned into oversized anime characters straight out of a trippy cartoon. Oh, the struggles of being a damsel in distress with Hello Kitty taking residence on your face!

But amidst the havoc wreaked by Snapchat,  there is a valuable lesson to be learned. Embrace your true face, my friends! Push aside the digital sparkles and let your unique features take the stage. Sure, you may have a quirky nose or unruly eyebrows, but guess what? Those quirks are what make you fabulously you!

Let's not forget the absurdity of romantic endeavors in the age of filters. Swiping through countless profiles feels like exploring a virtual circus. You think you've found your Prince Charming, only to discover that he resembles a mischievous woodland creature, complete with pointy ears and a fluffy tail. Who needs dog ears and a sticking-out tongue when you're looking for love?

So, my fellow filter warriors, let's not take ourselves too seriously. It's time to release our grips on the virtual masks and embrace our imperfections—the crooked smiles, the untamed hair, and yes, even the occasional double chin. 

Remember, true beauty lies in being unapologetically ourselves. So, let your nose wiggle freely and let those eyebrows go wild. We don't need filters to be fabulous. We just need to love ourselves, flaws and all, because it is in our uniqueness that we shine like glittery disco balls.

And so, dear readers, let us bid farewell to the filter frenzy. Raise your unfiltered faces high, and let your true beauty illuminate the world. Embrace the laughter and embrace your true selves, for in the end, it's your natural charm and unabashed authenticity that will captivate hearts and make this crazy world a brighter, funnier place to be you!

Inside UDUS: NUASA-UDUS Sets To Hold Congress Meeting

  Sewedo Khadijat reports In a bid to ensure and improve the harmonious relationship among various levels, the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter is set to hold congress meetings across all levels of Accounting Students. This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press is contained in a flier, released by the President of the Association,  Akintomiwa Isaac, and shared to many social media accounts.
