Examination: NAIS-UDUS Plans Get-together, Ends 1st Semester Activities

The National Association Of Idoma Students, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter, NAIS-UDUS, a member of the National Union of Benue State Students, NUBESS-UDUS,  has closed all association meets up and official activities for the 1st Semester, 2023/24 session.

This came after its 9th weekly meet-up held on Sunday 9th July 2023 at the Convocation Theatre within the university campus.

The meeting which was more like a recap of all of its activities and programs for the semester started with an opening remark by its President, Comrade Ogbu Lawrence. 

The President, in his remarks, while appreciating alumni members in their midst urged the member students to maintain good conduct and academic excellence.

In his words, "Let us keep being the good ambassadors of the Food Basket of the Nation and please, let us not deviate from our primary assignment on campus."

Following suit were updates and reports by committees, including financial reports,  reactions by members, and suggestions for a better outcome in the coming examination, among others.

The Welfare Director of the association gave an update on the planned Get-together and said, "There will be enough to eat and drink, inform other Idoma students within and outside the campus."

The 9th and last meeting of the Association had two graduates and alumni in attendance including, Abah Sunday and Hussein Nuhu Isa (SonOfNuhu) as well as the presence of the President of the National Union of Benue State Student, Comrade Godo Kpamo.

The meeting which was moderated by Comrade Ocheyela John ended with a soulful closing prayer for success in the coming examination by Ms Hellen, a student from the Department of Zoology.

Inside UDUS: NUASA-UDUS Sets To Hold Congress Meeting

  Sewedo Khadijat reports In a bid to ensure and improve the harmonious relationship among various levels, the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter is set to hold congress meetings across all levels of Accounting Students. This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press is contained in a flier, released by the President of the Association,  Akintomiwa Isaac, and shared to many social media accounts. According to the flier, debate, quiz, talk show, miming competition poem recitation and cultural display are the events to be featured on that day. NACJ-UDUS Congress: Editorial Training Takes Center Stage

  Abdulraheem Muhammed Olarewaju reports,  In a commendable endeavor to bolster journalistic integrity and sharpen the skills of aspiring journalists, the National Association of Campus Journalists, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Chapter, had on Sunday 1st of October, 2023 convened its first congress of the semester, placing a strong focus on editorial training.  Spearheaded by Abdulrasheed Hammed, a seasoned and award-winning investigative journalist, the training delved into the core ethics of journalism, underscoring the paramount importance of maintaining truthfulness and transparency.
