Inside UDUTH: UG 3 MBBS Students Resume Academic Session

The 300-level MBBS students of the College of Health Sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto have on Monday, 18th of September, 2023 resumed a new academic session. The resumption was after a holiday that lasted four weeks.
Vanguard Press gathered that the students' vacation followed the completion of their Pre-MBBS examination at the end of their 200 level. The examination, which was after a forty-week posting took a week, from the 14th to the 19th of August, 2023.
In a recent development, according to the Internal Memorandum released from the office of the Provost of the College, addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Sciences, Heads of the Department of Anatomy, Department of Community Health, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Department of Physiology and signed by Dr. Abdulgafar O. Jimoh, the College's Deputy Provost (Medical) on 12th September 2023, the new academic session will last for twenty-five weeks, being the shortest session length in the College of Health Sciences.
"Kindly accept Class 2019/2020 (UGIII) students, who have passed the required examination and have completed the postings to your Department for MBBS-I/BDS (25 weeks) scheduled posting," the memo reads.
According to the circular, the starting date for the posting is Sunday 17th September 2023, and will continue till Saturday, 2nd of February, 2024.
Meanwhile, the students are required by the Memo to report to the next schedule on Sunday 3rd of February, 2024 while the circular implores concerned authorities to kindly ensure the completion of all activities within the stipulated period.
