School of Medical Laboratory Science Sets to Hold 14th Induction Ceremony

The Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, under the leadership of Prof. M. H. Yeldu is set to hold the 14th Induction Ceremony of Medical Laboratory Science Graduands 2020/2021 academic session on Tuesday 26th of September, 2023 at the University Auditorium Main Campus by 10am.

This information is contained in a flyer released to the public by the University, shared across media outlets, and obtained by Vanguard Press.

Part of the invitation flyer reads: "The Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Prof. L. S. Bilbis and Registrar of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), Dr. Tosan Erhabor cordially invite Staffs, Students and General Public to the 14th Induction Ceremony of Medical Laboratory Science Graduands of 2020/2021 academic session from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto."

Moreover, the occasion will be chaired by Prof. Hamidu Ahmed, Former Provost College of Health Science, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and graced by the Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Kabiru Cigari Alhassan, Sarkin Sudan of Wurno. 

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of UDUS, Prof. L. S. Bilbis is the Chief Host, Prof. M. H. Yeldu, Director, School of Medical Laboratory Science, Prof. Anas A. Sabir, Chief Medical Director of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital and Prof. S. A. Saidu, Provost College of Health Science are the Host and Co-host respectively.

In furtherance, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, Sokoto State Commissioner of Health, Comrd. Yunusa Musa Ismail, Kebbi State Commissioner of Health and Dr. Aisha M. Z. Anka, Zamfara State Commissioner of Health are the Special Guest of Honour that'll be in attendance gracing the ceremony.

Inside UDUS: NUASA-UDUS Sets To Hold Congress Meeting

  Sewedo Khadijat reports In a bid to ensure and improve the harmonious relationship among various levels, the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter is set to hold congress meetings across all levels of Accounting Students. This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press is contained in a flier, released by the President of the Association,  Akintomiwa Isaac, and shared to many social media accounts. According to the flier, debate, quiz, talk show, miming competition poem recitation and cultural display are the events to be featured on that day.   Abdulraheem Muhammed Olarewaju reports,  In a commendable endeavor to bolster journalistic integrity and sharpen the skills of aspiring journalists, the National Association of Campus Journalists, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Chapter, had on Sunday 1st of October, 2023 convened its first congress of the semester, placing a strong focus on editorial training.  Spearheaded by Abdulrasheed Hammed, a seasoned and award-winning investigative journalist, the training delved into the core ethics of journalism, underscoring the paramount importance of maintaining truthfulness and transparency.
