Danfodiyo Varsity Set To Hold 37th Inaugural Lecture

The Management of Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto under the leadership of Prof. Lawal Suleiman Bilbis has extended its invitation to the general public to its 37th inaugural lecture which is scheduled to be held on Thursday 12th of October, 2023 at University's auditorium main campus by 4:30 pm.

This information was contained in a flier released to the public, placed across notice boards in the university, and was obtained by Vanguard Press.

Part of the flier reads, "On behalf of the Council Senate Staff and Students, Prof.LS Bilbis, the Vice Chancellor Of Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto invites the general public to the 37th Inaugural Lecture".

Professor Aliyu Tambuwal Umar, a Professor of climatology from the Department of Geography is the Inaugural Lecturer and will deliver his lecture titled "LAND SEA AND AIR: THE PILLARS OF CLIMATIC NOISE IN NIGERIA". 

He is of the Department of Geography, Faculty of social sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

Inside UDUS: NUASA-UDUS Sets To Hold Congress Meeting

  Sewedo Khadijat reports In a bid to ensure and improve the harmonious relationship among various levels, the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter is set to hold congress meetings across all levels of Accounting Students. This information which was obtained by Vanguard Press is contained in a flier, released by the President of the Association,  Akintomiwa Isaac, and shared to many social media accounts. According to the flier, debate, quiz, talk show, miming competition poem recitation and cultural display are the events to be featured on that day.   Abdulraheem Muhammed Olarewaju reports,  In a commendable endeavor to bolster journalistic integrity and sharpen the skills of aspiring journalists, the National Association of Campus Journalists, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Chapter, had on Sunday 1st of October, 2023 convened its first congress of the semester, placing a strong focus on editorial training.  Spearheaded by Abdulrasheed Hammed, a seasoned and award-winning investigative journalist, the training delved into the core ethics of journalism, underscoring the paramount importance of maintaining truthfulness and transparency.
