Students Chemical Society UDUS Plans to Orientate, Award Students

The Students Chemical Society of Nigeria (SCSN), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, is preparing to host its annual orientation and presentation of certificates and academic awards event. Scheduled to take place on Friday, July 21, 2023, at MH3 starting at 10:00 am, this event promises to be an important milestone for the society and its members.

The SCSN has announced its upcoming event which was released by Mal. Shamsuddeen Yahaya, the staff adviser of the association through a flyer shared on various whatsApp groups and seen by Vanguard Press. 

The content on the invitation flyer reads, "The Students Chemical Society of Nigeria invites all its members to the Annual Orientation and Presentation of Certificates and Academic Awards event." 

Vanguard Press gathered that the program aims to provide valuable guidance and recognition to the members of the society.

According to the flyer, the program is hosted by Prof. A.M. Sokoto and Dr. M.L. Mohammed. 

Prof. A.M. Sokoto specializes in Physical Organic Chemistry and Biofuels. He is a prominent figure in the field of physical organic chemistry and biofuels. With a focus on the study of chemical reactions and mechanisms, Prof. Sokoto investigates the physical properties and behavior of organic compounds. His expertise in biofuel research contributes to the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources. Prof. Sokoto's presence as a host adds great value to the event, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage with his knowledge and insights in these fields.

Dr. M.L. Mohammed is a senior lecturer and is interested in Applied Chemistry and Catalysis. His research interests lie in the practical applications of chemical principles and the catalytic processes involved in various chemical reactions. Dr. Mohammed's work focuses on developing innovative solutions to real-world problems, with a particular emphasis on sustainable and green chemistry practices. As a  host, he will bring valuable perspectives and expertise to the event, enriching the learning experience for all attendees.
